Gig Updates

It’s been a fairly busy start to 2011 for us, starting with an appearance at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall as part of Celtic Connections.  This short set at the Danny Kyle Stage was recorded and broadcast live on Celtic Music Radio.  We’ll be posting a few of the tracks from this on the site in the summer.  Earlier this month we played at the 13th Note in Glasgow, a very enjoyable gig, with excellent support from Cloncullen and Ishwell Atmen - check the links below to hear some of their material.

We’ve just arranged two more gigs in Glasgow: firstly at Brel in the West End on May the 25th, then at Pivo Pivo on June 21st.  The Brel gig is a charity event for Link Community Development.  We’ll post ticket information on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

The ‘Chords Of Human Kindness’ EP is available to download for free for a limited time at http://fakegods.bandcamp.com.

'Chords Of Human Kindness' EP released!

OK, so it’s been a while since we’ve posted any news, but we’ve been busy!  Since our last gig we’ve been working hard on a new set, and along the way found time to record an EP, named ‘Chords of Human Kindness’.  This 3 track EP contains two songs by Richard Shindell, and one by Buddy Miller.  Since we’re so generous by nature, this is available to download for free at our Bandcamp site.  Go get it, and tell your friends!

It was recorded in its entirety at Old Mill Studios in Strathaven on the 2nd July 2010.  Many thanks go to Marshall Craigmyle for the production, mixing and mastering.

Big thanks also to Monika Balazy for allowing us to use her original photograph for the album cover.

A big shout to Fiona Williams from PhotographyByFee for doing the promotional photograpy, some of which be uploaded to our Gallery page in the next few days.  Cracking job Fee!

We’re also close to confirming our next live date, which will be in October...stay tuned...
